  1. What is the ROOK Extraction App?

The ROOK Extraction App is a mobile application designed to simplify the process of extracting user health data from sources such as Apple Health and Health Connect. It enables clients to seamlessly integrate this data into their platforms via ROOK webhooks. The app also facilitates the integration of SDKs with ROOKConnect, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of health data.

By extracting and delivering users' health data to clients, the app empowers them to quickly and easily utilize this information to enhance the experiences and well-being of their users.

  2. How does the app work?

The app works by allowing users to scan a QR code or use a universal link to authenticate their session. Once authenticated, users can connect their health data sources. The app securely extracts and transmits the data to ROOK, which then forwards it to the client. Note that you need to provide the QR code to your users.

  3. What platforms is the app available on?

The app is available on Android and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

  4. Is there a cost for ROOK App Extraction?

ROOK App Extraction is an add-on product to ROOKConnect and is available for select ROOK plans. For more information, please contact the ROOK team.

  5. Is the app secure?

Yes, the app is built with a strong focus on user privacy and data security. Users must review and accept terms and conditions before any data extraction begins.

  6. How can I integrate the app with my system?

You’ll need to integrate the Binding endpoint to create access for your users. Details about integration can be found in the ROOK documentation.

  7. How do I enable ROOK App Extraction for my ROOK account?

The application does not require prior activation. You only need to integrate the endpoint and make the query.

  8. How do I receive the data?

Data is delivered through a URL that you provide in the Data Webhook section of the ROOK Portal. This ensures real-time delivery of data.

  9. Is there a cost associated with using the app?

The app is an add-on product for selected ROOK plans. Contact the ROOK team for specific pricing details.

  10. How can I generate a QR code or link for users?

You can generate a QR code or link using the Binding endpoint. Each link or QR code is unique and must only be used by one user.

  11. What happens if the data extraction fails?

The app includes robust error handling. If an extraction fails, the client system will be notified through the webhook.

  12. How can our users access ROOK App Extraction?

They can download it from the Play Store.

  13. How do I link a user to my integration?

Using the Endpoint, you must generate a link or QR code to provide to the user for access. Each link and QR code is unique and must only be used by one user. You will need to request a separate link or QR code for each user.

  14. What do status 1 and status 0 mean?

  • Status 1: This status indicates that when a user disconnects from all linked data sources, their connection settings can be modified through the designated endpoint.

  • Status 0: This status indicates that the user will only be disconnected from Apple Health and Health Connect. You can adjust this configuration using the endpoint.
