What is the Home Dashboard and what does it show?

Written by JP Gomez

The Home Dashboard is the first screen to check when you want to monitor integration health and activity day to day. It gives you a snapshot of your users, connected data sources, document volume, and setup progress for the Client and environment currently selected.

Important: A metric showing 0 is different from No data yet or couldn't. An error does not mean there is zero activity.

How do I read Home Dashboard metrics?

Every card and chart on the Home Dashboard can have one of three states:

State

What it means

A number

Data loaded correctly — even when that number is 0.

No data yet

Loaded fine; there's genuinely nothing to show (e.g. a brand-new Client).

"Couldn't load"

The request failed — this is not the same as zero activity.

What does the Home Dashboard show?

Card / chart

Shows

New Users / Active Users

Counts for the current month, with % change vs. the prior period.

Analytics · Users

New vs. current users over This Year / This Month / This Week.

Balance

Frequent, new and unlinked users — the mix of who's actively engaged vs. dropping off.

Data Sources

How many users are connected vs. disconnected, broken down by source.

Source Count

Users split by how many sources they've linked (1, 2, 3+).

Document Count

Volume of documents (summaries/events) delivered over the selected range.

What is the difference between 0 and "Couldn't load"?

A value of 0 means the metric loaded successfully and there is no activity for that metric.

Couldn't load means the portal could not retrieve the metric.

For example, if Active Users = 0, the dashboard successfully checked the data and found zero active users. If Active Users = Couldn't load, the dashboard could not retrieve the information, so you should not interpret it as zero users.

Rule of thumb: 0 = successfully loaded zero. Couldn't load = the metric could not be retrieved.

If you see Couldn't load, select Reload in the top-right corner before concluding that your integration has no activity.

How do I complete my setup?

The onboarding card tracks the required setup steps, such as credentials and Data Webhooks. It shows “X of Y required steps done” until all required steps are complete.

How do I generate a report?

Select the download icon next to Reload to generate a PDF snapshot of the metrics currently displayed on the dashboard. Use it to share integration status with stakeholders who don't have portal access.

Frequently asked questions

  1. All my numbers show "Couldn't load" — is something wrong with my integration? No — that specifically means the portal failed to fetch the metric. Try Reload; if it persists, contact support with the Client ID and environment.

  2. Why does Active Users show 0 for a Client I know has users? Check the environment badge — you may be looking at a different environment (e.g. Sandbox) than where those users actually connected.

  3. Can I export this for a stakeholder who doesn't have portal access? Yes — use Generate report for a PDF snapshot.
